Fried Morel Mushrooms
Prep Time: 20 mins, Cook Time: 10 mins.
- 1 pound fresh morel mushrooms.
- 1 cup All-Purpose flour.
- 1 cup vegetable oil.
- Salt, 1 teaspoon.
Cut mushrooms in half lengthwise. Wash thoroughly.
Place mushroom halves in a large bowl filled with water and 1 teaspoon of salt. Let mushrooms soak for 5-10 minutes to loosen any dirt and insects.
Rinse and repeat until all dirt has been removed.
In a small bowl, add 1 cup flour.
Heat vegetable oil on high until very hot.
Roll mushrooms in flour and carefully place in hot vegetable oil.
Fry until golden brown and crisp, turning often..
Drain on paper towels.
Salt to taste and enjoy!
